VOLERI, MARCO

Marco Voleri graduated from the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan and subsequently attended a specialisation course at the Teatro alla Scala. He studied diction and acting with Enzina Conte, he took part in the Masterclass of Opera with Mietta Sighele, Veriano Lucchetti, Janos Acs, Enzo Dara, Renato Bruson and Bruno De Simone. Currently he is studying with Alessandra Rossi and Bruno De Simone. He attended the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala under the direction of Maestro Gaifa and also the Lyric International Rotary Academy directed by Maestro Montanari.

In 2006 he won the Pagliacci Special Award at the XII Riccardo Zandonai International Competition in Riva del Garda debuting the role of Beppe. Later, he won the role of Bardolfo in Falstaff at the 2006 Rocca delle Macìe Competition. In 2007 he won the Primo Palcoscenico 2007 Competition obtaining the role of Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto performed at the Bonci theatre in Cesena. He performed the roles of Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Mantova (Rigoletto), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Nemorino (Elisir d’amore) and Alfredo (La Traviata), and performed in Il Trovatore, Nabucco, Pagliacci, Carmen, Manon Lescaut, Tosca and Lucia di Lammermoor.

He worked with world famous maestros like Roberto Negri, Marcello Guerrini and Gabriele Baldocci, and with great directors such as Renato Bruson, Renzo Giacchieri, Walter Pagliaro and Nall. He has sang Franchetto in Cimarosa’s I due Baroni di Roccazzurra, Rinaldo in Galuppi’s Il Filosofo di Campagna and Beppe in Donizetti’s Rita. Contemporary operatic rôles include the main character in the national première of Tarabella’s Arlecchino Finto Morto and he was lead tenor in Ghedini’s Messa Funebre per Duccio Galimberti by directed by Gustav Khun.

He took part in the Concert for Europe in Malta, in the presence of the President of Malta Republic, S.E. Dott. Edward Fenech Adami. He took part in the productions of La Fanciulla del West, Macbeth, Manon Lescaut, Gianni Schicchi and Otello. In January 2007 he sang Bardolfo in Falstaff andMalcom in Macbeth.

He gives many concertsin Italy and abroad. He sang solo tenor in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Schumann’s Dicherliebe and lieder by Brahms, Beethoven and Rachmaninov. In 2007 he sang in a holy music concert in the Varsavia Basilica and in a gala concert at the National Theatre in Varsavia. In the beginning 2008 he has sang in Mozart’s Coronation Mass KV 317. In 2008 he sang in a lieder concert with piano player Bruno Canino, the role of Ernesto(Don Pasquale), Death in Venice, Gianni Schicchi, and Le Nozze di Figaro at La Scala Theatre conducted by Giovanni Antonini.
